WEAR & GEAR

Hatari is situated at an altitude of 4650 ft above sea level and has therefore during the African winter months (the European summer months) a mild climate. A fire and cosy blankets will get you through cooler nights of about 15 degrees Celsius. We do recommend therefore for the time between June and September a warm jacket or fleece and a windbreaker. Due to the altitude and the mild temperatures Hatari has no Malaria risk - mosquitoes are very rare.
For walks please pack comfortable walking boots and safari trousers with zip-off legs are ideal. Please don’t forget sun protection and a hat - the equator is still near and we are high up.
