MARLIES & JÖRG
We, Marlies and Jörg Gabriel as well as our son Donyo live on the former Hardy Krüger farm at the edge of Arusha National Park in northern Tanzania, where we have created Hatari Lodge.
Where the slopes of majestic Kilimanjaro reach far out into the African savannah a dream has come true - Hatari Lodge opened its doors to the public sharing not only a beautiful but also a historic and especially ecologically interesting area,
We used to live in Arusha, where Marlies was working for the well-known safari company Abercrombie & Kent responsible for their Sanctuary Lodges. Jörg had (still has!) a career as a travel writer, photographer and safari guide.

Marlies’ home is Namibia, but since 2000 she has lived in Tanzania. Marlies’ professional career in tourism started 12 years ago. Working as a safari guide in Namibia, as a camp manager in Botswana, then a product manager for East Africa in Germany set the goals for her visions in the Safari industry. |
